Northwood Maple

Northwood is a University of Minnesota introduction.

It was chosen mainly for it’s hardiness and vigor.

It’s branches are at a 45 degree angle and ascend into the crown.

Northwood Maple has excellent fall color in North Idaho, showing  dark red foliage from mid-October through early November.

USDA Zones 3-9

I grow Northwood maples primarily for the excellent late season fall color that they exhibit here in North Idaho.

The bloom of Northwood is quite noticeable, red clumps on the limbs before the leaves emerge.

Although it blooms, Northwood is a seedless tree.

Grows to 50 ft high and 35 ft wide
