Austrian Pine

The Austrian Pine (Pinus nigra), also known as the Black Pine, is a hardy and versatile evergreen tree native to Europe, including Austria, hence the name.
- Needles: Long (4–6 inches), stiff, dark green, in bundles of two
- Bark: Dark gray to black, becoming deeply fissured with age
- Cones: Oval, 2–3 inches long, brown, with small prickles on scales

- Wildlife-friendly: provides shelter for birds and small mammals
- Height: 40–60 feet (can reach up to 100 feet in optimal conditions)
