Frontier Elm

It is an intermediate sized Elm, showing a high level of disease resistance to Dutch Elm disease and Elm Yellows. 

It has moderate resistance to Elm Leaf Beetle. It flowers rarely and no seed bearing has been reported.

Leaves are dark green and glossy. The bark is smooth grey-green with orange lenticels, and not exfoliating.

Best of all, this is the only Elm on the market with red fall color.

‘Frontier’ has proven itself in a wide range of locations and climates, California to Maryland, Ohio to Oklahoma.

It is also very tolerant of urban conditions.
