Lilac Common Purple

Lilac Common Purple is a hybrid of the Lilac Mignonette and the Lilac Somerset.

It's been hybridized to produce a tree that blooms in purple and grows to be a medium size.

This variety is better suited to growing in clay soil than most other lilacs on the market.

Lilac Common  Purple is a hearty and large shrub with an upright, round-headed habit of growth.

The leaves are a glossy deep green and provide excellent ornamental value. Flowers are brilliant purple and borne in long, dense clusters.
