Paper Bark maple
Originally from China, Acer griseum is one of the most desirable of the small maples.
It’s main feature of course is the exfoliating bark, but that’s not all.
It’s form and size make it perfect for small to large landscapes and under utilities.
It is one of those rare items that has winter interest.
It is very drought tolerant and once established needs little care.
The new growth is a nice red and the fall color is orange red.
Acer griseum is a slow grower until it becomes established, and then grows only moderately.
Our Paperbarks are 4 year trees.
Since the bark is the main feature, multi stem trees will give more of a show.
Grows to 20 -30 ft high and 15 ft wide
